One Fine Day at Northern Flower Farm, Atok, Benguet

Surrounded by various beautiful flowers overlooking Mount Pulag.

Northern Blossom Flower Farm is a must see attraction in Atok, Benguet. From Baguio City, travel time will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on traffic.

This alluring flower farm has opened its door to the public since February 2018 and slowly gaining popularity among tourists. I have decided to visit the farm on a one fine Sunday with my two friends, Frances and Geraldine.

Our meeting time is at 7:30 AM at Dangwa Bus Terminal behind Center Mall. We bought our bus tickets for around Php 75/head (one way trip). We boarded the non-air-conditioned 8:30 AM bus bound to Sagada. Buses tend to get full without a hitch so if you missed the bus, you may also ride a van that will pass through Atok which costs around Php 150, undoubtedly twice more expensive than the bus ride.

Here’s the detailed bus schedule below:

It took us a nerve-wrecking two hours travel to arrive at Atok Municipal Hall. After getting off the bus, we went straight to Brgy. Sayangan Hall, registered and paid Php 20/person environmental fee for the local government’s thrust in maintenance of the area.

We walked down and headed to the Northern Blossom Flower Farm nearby Palawan Express and paid Php 250 for the entrance fee (inclusive of bread and unlimited coffee, and a friendly local tour guide) at the reception area. (Entrance Fee is subject to change without prior notice.)

Once you entered the farm, congratulations, you’ll get to see these breathtaking sceneries below.

A one friendly local tour guide was assigned in our group and we learned about the different kinds of flowers situated in the farm. If you will travel solo, then no worries because the tour guide will take good pictures of you. The tour lasted for 3 hours and we ended the tour with a bite of bread and a cup of coffee.

Heading back to Baguio is not a problem because buses and vans are just passing through the highway. But be sure to board the bus/van on or before 1PM due to limited daily bus/van trips.
